- Diving time: Approximately 35 minutes
- Start time: Every day at 9:00 a.m.

This program takes place on our boat in the north area of San Antonio, near Cala Salada and Punta Galera, one of the best dive spots on the island. During the 20-minute boat ride from the port, you’ll receive a theoretical lesson introducing you to the basics of scuba diving.
Prerequisites for the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program
To participate in this program, you must be at least 10 years old. For safety reasons, it is not recommended for pregnant individuals, people with active asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, ear problems, or pneumothorax, nor for those requiring daily medication. Additionally, it is advised not to fly within 12 hours after the activity to avoid decompression issues.
What You’ll See Underwater
The dive takes place in a marine environment rich in biodiversity. During your dive at Punta Galera, you will follow a circular route through different underwater habitats, including Posidonia oceanica meadows, a type of algae protected by UNESCO, and rocky areas home to a variety of marine species. Some of the wildlife you might encounter includes:
- Rockfish
- Starfish
- Octopuses
- Anemones
- Tube worms
- Nudibranchs
Additionally, visibility in this area is excellent, with up to 20 meters under ideal conditions, and there are no strong currents, making it a calm and safe dive. Exploring this protected natural environment allows you to connect with a unique ecosystem, a true underwater paradise.
