PADI Scuba Diver Course

Brief Course Description:
This PADI course guarantees you to dive to a depth of 12 m under the supervision of a Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Instructor. The course contains two differentiated parts, Theory and Practice, that can be done in at least 2 days.
- Theory: It includes the first 3 theory modules of the PADI Open Water e-learning. You will perform the theory online with e- learning and only perform the practical with us.
- Pool /Confined Waters Practical : 3 sessions in a pool or in confined waters where the Instructor will teach you the functionality of your equipment, perform exercises such as controlling your buoyancy with the vest, removing the mask under the water and the regulator, along with other exercises that they will provide you with the knowledge for a safe and adequate response in real situations.
- Open waters: You will conduct two supervised dives in open water to a maximum depth of 12 mt where you will practice the exercises you have learned and take the theory to practice at sea.
Possible Schedule: The duration of the course may vary depending on your availability and ability to learn, but to be able to do it, it requires a minimum of 2 days, as shown below.
- 1st afternoon: diving pool sessions in the pool (1 hour and 30 minutes)
- 2nd morning: 2 boat dives in open waters (9:30 a.m. and back at 1:30 p.m.)
PREREQUISITES OF THE PADI SCUBA DIVER COURSE
From 10 years old. This course is not recommended for pregnant women, active asthmatics, diabetics, epileptics and people who suffer from pneumothorax and ear problems. A medical questionnaire will be given to check if your health suits the minimum medical conditions to perform the dives. After completing the last dives of the course, PADI recommends not flying for 12 hr.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PADI SCUBA DIVER COURSE
If you have little time in your stay in Ibiza (1 day and 1 morning) this is the diving course you are looking for, as it enables you to dive 12 mt deep as a certified diver in the 5 continents, rent equipment, and dive with the presence of a Divemaster or Assistant Instructor or an Instructor, as it does not enable you to dive on your own.
This course is eminently practical, with a mix of theory and practice.
The theory part is completed online with the e-learning
The theory is necessary to train as a scuba diver, as it enables you to learn the concepts with the help of our instructors that you will apply in practice during confined and open-water sessions, thereby helping you develop the activity safely.
The theory is the same as that of the Open Water course and has 5 very well-explained sections. In this course, you should only study up to section 3. At the end of each section, there is a review of knowledge with the answers to evaluate the evolution of your learning.
The learning of this course is comfortable and uses eminently practical language, where you will be taught what is necessary so you can dive safely, and your diving experience is fun and comfortable.
PADI e-learning sections
Section one: Being a diver (part I), basic concepts of diving, diving equipment, your care, and diving skills (part I), sign language of diving, together with the technique of practising with your team such as, retrieving the regulator, emptying the mask, air management, descending and compensating the ears, all this theory will be carried out in the pool or confined water (small bay at 2 mt depth max) with the PADI Instructor.
Section two: Being a diver (part II), the experience of diving as it affects your senses, mastery of buoyancy, diving equipment (part II), Skills in diving (part II), all this theoretical part will be taken to practice in the pool or confined water with the PADI Instructor.
Section three: Being a diver (part III), environments and conditions in diving, evaluation of diving conditions, types of diving and coastal phenomena to be taken into account, procedures for entry, exit and planning of the dive. Problem Management and diving equipment (part III).
Scuba Diving Training
- Pool / Confined Waters (1hr 30 min) Finished with the theory up to section 3, We will do 3 sessions in a pool or in confined waters where the Instructor will teach you the functionality of your equipment, perform exercises such as controlling your buoyancy with the vest, removing the mask under the water and the regulator, recovering them, along with other exercises that will provide you the knowledge for a safe and adequate response in real situations.
- Open water dives (2 dives at 12 m ) You will conduct two supervised dives in open waters up to a maximum depth of 12 meters, where you will practice the exercises you have learned and take the theory into practice at sea under the supervision of our PADI instructors.
Duration of the PADI Scuba Diver Course
The duration of the course may vary depending on your availability and ability to learn, but to be able to complete it requires a minimum of 2 days, as shown below, one afternoon and one morning is enough.
1st day
Afternoon, the pool sessions in our hotel ( 2 hours)
2nd day
9:00 a.m.: Two boat dives in open waters (9:30 a.m. departure and 1:30 p.m. return).
Once you have passed all the knowledge reviews (99% of the students do), the practical exercises in confined water sessions and the 2 open water dives.
Congrats! You are already a PADI SCUBA DIVER, and you will be able to expand your skills with more advanced courses such as the PADI Open Water, Adventure Diver or the Advanced Open Water.
