If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring the ocean depths, the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program in Ibiza is the perfect opportunity for you. This introductory diving experience is designed for beginners who want to feel the thrill of diving in a safe environment, under the supervision of qualified instructors. With its crystal-clear waters, perfect weather, and rich marine biodiversity, Ibiza is one of the best places in the Mediterranean to start your underwater adventure.

This program takes place on our boat in the north area of San Antonio, near Cala Salada and Punta Galera, one of the best dive spots on the island. During the 20-minute boat ride from the port, you’ll receive a theoretical lesson introducing you to the basics of scuba diving.

What Does the Discover Scuba Diving Program Include?

This program offers a guided 35-minute dive under the supervision of certified PADI instructors. The dive is done in small groups to ensure a safe and personalized experience. In addition to the dive, you’ll receive a theoretical class on board covering diving equipment and underwater signals. Throughout the day, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy activities such as snorkeling, swimming, or simply relaxing while sunbathing on our boat.

Living in Ibiza is an unforgettable experience. With its calm and crystal-clear waters, the island offers ideal conditions for beginners to enjoy their first dive. The warm water temperatures between May and October make the experience even more enjoyable.

Additionally, once you’ve learned how to dive with us, you can continue your training with advanced courses such as the PADI Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water, allowing you to dive anywhere in the world. These certifications are internationally recognized and open the door to new underwater adventures at numerous PADI dive centers around the globe.

The cost of the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is €150, and the total activity lasts between 3 and 4 hours. This scuba diving baptism is a generous and fun introduction to PADI’s continuous training courses, perfect for those who want to experience diving for the first time.

Prerequisites for the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program

To participate in this program, you must be at least 10 years old. For safety reasons, it is not recommended for pregnant individuals, people with active asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, ear problems, or pneumothorax, nor for those requiring daily medication. Additionally, it is advised not to fly within 12 hours after the activity to avoid decompression issues.

What You’ll See Underwater

The dive takes place in a marine environment rich in biodiversity. During your dive at Punta Galera, you will follow a circular route through different underwater habitats, including Posidonia oceanica meadows, a type of algae protected by UNESCO, and rocky areas home to a variety of marine species. Additionally, visibility in this area is excellent, with up to 20 meters under ideal conditions, and there are no strong currents, making it a calm and safe dive. Exploring this protected natural environment allows you to connect with a unique ecosystem, a true underwater paradise.

  1. Meet at the port: We’ll meet at 9:00 a.m. at San Antonio Port, where you’ll fill out the necessary medical forms to participate.
  2. Boat trip: During the 20-minute journey to the dive site, our instructors will give a theoretical and practical lesson about the equipment, signals, and basic diving concepts.
  3. Gear up: With the help of our instructor assistants, you will be equipped with full scuba gear, including a wetsuit, fins, buoyancy control device, regulator, and air tank.
  4. Dive: Alongside your group and always under the close supervision of our instructors, you’ll enter the water gradually in a controlled and safe manner. Throughout the dive, you will feel secure as our instructors will be there to guide you and assist if necessary.
  5. Relax on the boat: While other groups take their turn diving, you can relax on the deck, sunbathe, swim, or enjoy snorkeling.
  6. Return to the port: Once all the dives are completed, we’ll head back to the port in about 20 minutes, where you can reflect on your first diving experience and share it with friends.
