Detailed description of the Course
If you have little time in your stay in Ibiza (1 day and 1 morning) this is the diving course you are looking for, as it enables you to dive 12 mt deep as a certified diver in the 5 continents, rent equipment, and dive with the presence of a Dive Master or Assistant Instructor or an Instructor, as it does not enable you to dive on your own.
This course is eminently practical, with a part of theory and a part of practice.
The theory part can be done on your own in 2 different ways, On Line through e-learning or through the Open water manual that includes 2 DVD to watch the videos.
Theory 4 hr (includes manual reading, exercises and review of knowledge)
The theory is absolutely necessary to be able to train as a certified diver, because you will learn with the help of our instructors the concepts that you will take to practice, in the confined and open water sessions, which will help you to develop the activity safely.
The manual is the same as that of the Open Water course and has 5 very well explained sections, in this course you should only get to section 3. At the end of each section there is a review of knowledge with the answers to evaluate the evolution of your learning.
The reading of this manual (about 3 hours) is in a comfortable and eminently practical language, where you will be taught what is necessary so you can dive safely and your diving experience is fun and comfortable. The manual is divided into:
Section one: Being a diver (part I), basic concepts of diving, diving equipment, your care and diving skills (part I), sign language of diving, together with the technique of practising with your team such as, retrieving the regulator, emptying the mask, air management, descending and compensating the ears, all this theory will be carried out in the pool or confined water (small bay at 2 mt depth max) with the PADI Instructor .
Section two: Being a diver (part II), the experience of diving as it affects your senses, mastery of buoyancy, diving equipment (part II), Skills in diving (part II), all this theoretical part will be taken to practice in the pool or confined water with the PADI Instructor.
Section three: Being a diver (part III), environments and conditions in diving, evaluation of diving conditions, types of diving and coastal phenomena to be taken into account, procedures for entry, exit and planning of the dive. Problem Management and diving equipment (part III).
Pool / Confined Waters (1hr 30 min) Finished with the theory up to section 3,
We will do 3 sessions in a pool or in confined waters where the Instructor will teach you the functionality of your equipment, perform exercises such as controlling your buoyancy with the vest, removing the mask under the water and the regulator, recovering them, along with other exercises that will provide you the knowledge for a safe and adequate response in real situations.
Open waters (2 50-minute dives) You will conduct two supervised dives in open waters up to a maximum depth of 12 mt where you will practice the exercises you have learned and take the theory into practice at sea under the supervision of our PADI instructors
The duration of the course may vary depending on your availability and ability to learn, but to be able to complete it requires a minimum of 2 days, as shown below, if you only practice with us, one afternoon and one morning is enough.
10:30 a.m Theory with video sessions in our school together with the exercises (4 hours) and in the afternoon 18:00 p.m the sessions in our pool (1 hour 30 minutes)
9:00 a.m. 2 dives in open water (the dives are made from our boat, sailing at 9:30 a.m and back at 13:30 p.m)
