The sea waters of Ibiza have a visibility of nearly 25 mt in ideal conditions, as you must know the visibility depends on many factors, but one of the key points of the dives is, this large visibility not achieved in other diving destinations by far.

Your fantastic million-dollar question can only be answered by the prevailing weather conditions on a specific day and a few days before, since the conditions of the sea cannot always be predicted  really well in advance, but if we consult the historical series of the dominance winds on the island of Ibiza through the wind rose provided by Port Authority, as a rule from May to November, the prevailing winds are from the East, so the West coast is the most suitable place to dive with good conditions in general in summer.

The Ibizan coast is characterized by having a large extension of oceanic posidonia being this meadow one of the few organisms protected by Unesco.

Many divers mistakenly think that it is a simple seaweed meadow, this organism itself is an ecosystem of vital importance in the reproductive phases of the fish because they are  hidden there by their predators meanwhile they grow, at the same time it can be found depleted colonies in extinction of nacras ( pinna nobilis).

Already in rocky bottoms we will be able to see groupers, congers, scorpion fish, moray Eels, and the elegant San Pedro of sizes according to the depth due to the anthropogenic pressure. We must think that numerous crustaceans live on our coast, from the famous Ibiza crayfish to the common lobster, the latter at high depths or at accessible depths in undocumented locations and away from population areas and anchorages.
